Kenyon on Knoxpages

I found out about Knoxpages, the news source/message board for Knox Country residents, around the time of the 2004 election. The message boards are informative regarding some of the Town/Gown issues.

Recently, here's what knoxpages is reporting about Kenyon:

Kenyon student scheduled to face a jury, about a Kenyon student who was possibly high when he jumped in front of/into the windshield of a car recently.

  1. The Knoxpages forum is (or at least was when I was paying attention to it) an essential and terrifying look into the county that surrounds Kenyon. Trivial geographic similarities aside, Gambier and the rest of the county could not be more different.

  2. Yes, both essential and terrifying. As for "could not be more different", though, I don't know. I recall there being some election sign at a Mount Vernon rally back in 2004 which said something charming like "If you can read this, you're a Democrat." Did that turn out to be a Kenyon student? Because that was roughly the median level of political discourse on Knox Pages at the time, too.
