Collegian Steals My Idea, Profiles Recent Alumni

After Kenyon: Alumni Perspectives: These profiles/interviews are with four very recent graduates, from 2008 and 2009. On two of them:

Lexie White is working on a public health study called the Sister Study, which is a long-term study of women who have never had breast cancer, but who have sisters who have had the disease. Having close relatives with breast cancer is associated in women with a significantly increased risk of getting it, so studying women with genetic risk factors helps researchers study the interaction between environment and genes in terms of who gets sick. More on that from NPR

Ted Lawrence is an assistant editor at The National Interest, which he describes as "a wonkish foreign-policy magazine in Washington, D.C." From the most recent issue: an article on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan by one of the top U.S. counterinsurgency people.
